Sonasid boosts first-half results despite market weakness
Sonasid, the main Moroccan steelmaker and supplier of long products, improved its performance during the first six months of the year, despite the persistent weakness of the local Moroccan market, Kallanish learns from sources.
The company increased volumes sold by 1% year-on-year, despite the -1% reduction of domestic demand registered overall in the Moroccan steel sector. Sales reached MAD 1.93 billion ($206.5 million), up 15% y-o-y.
