Sonasid and Maghreb Steel could be merged: rumours
The two Moroccan steelmakers, Sonasid and Maghreb Steel, could be merged in the near future in order to strengthen their positions, sources in the market disclose to Kallanish.The comments appear to be only rumours at this stage.
While the light longs supplier Sonasid turned around its financial performance last year, Maghreb Steel, the sole flats producer in the country, has continued to struggle for last four years (see Kallanish passim).
