Italian wire rod market expects some July restocking
Some mild restocking is expected for Italian wire rod in July at mostly stable prices compared to the end of June.
Sales volumes have been drastically reduced in the second quarter compared to the exceptional sales of Q2 2022. The market is being driven by uncertainty, while the northern European market is no different. In Italy, domestic values have lost some €30/tonne ($32) compared to the beginning of June, Kallanish hears from market sources.
