Italian scrap suppliers suspend sales amid Ukraine uncertainty
Some large Italian scrap merchants are stopping sales this week due to uncertainty surrounding the war in Ukraine and the CIS-origin raw material procurement problems anticipated as a result.
One recycling company tells Kallanish it does not intend to sell this week since values may increase next week as a result of the war. Prices are also supported by the European shortage of automotive-grade E8 new arisings and E40 shredded scrap.
