Social distancing hits Vietnamese steel trade in September
Social distancing measures to tackle Covid-19 continued to affect Vietnam’s domestic and international trade throughout September. Imports and exports both declined, Kallanish learns from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs data.
In September, Vietnam imported 814,096 tonnes of iron and steel, boosting year-to-date import volumes to 9.69 million t. The figures were down 3.2% month-on-month and 5.9% year-on-year, respectively.
