SMS supplies forging press to Turkish steel processor
SMS has supplied a new closed-die forging machine to Turkish steel forging parts maker Parsan, Kallanish learns from the equipment supplier.
The fully-automated closed-die forging press will be capable of forging up to 5 million parts/year. It will be used to produce pistons and flanged hubs weighing up to 4kg in up to five forming operations, SMS says in a statement.
