SMS modernises Daehan Steel's rebar coiler
South Korea’s Daehan Steel has contracted SMS to modernize the shear no.3 in the Vertical Compact Coiler (VCC) of its Pyeongtaek-based rebar mill, Kallanish learns from the technology supplier.
The project entails the replacement of the switch and the scrap guiding system at shear no.3, which will increase the VCC’s throughput to 70 tonnes/hour.
