SMS promotes 'digital twin' system for plant development
Steel industry technology supplier SMS has opened a new testing centre for steel plant at its site in Mönchengladbach, Germany according to an article in Rheinische Post.
Although the group has earlier suspended plans to expand its Mönchengladbach site, a spokeswoman confirms to Kallanish that a testing centre began operations recently. The centre renders a 3-D image of the technology of the equipment ordered by the customer.
