SMDI sees advanced steel growth outpacing predictions
Advanced high-strength steel (AHSS) market share gains are exceeding expectations, according to the Steel Market Development Institute.
SMDI, a division of the American Iron and Steel Institute and a major proponent of the use of AHSS in automotive applications, says the use of AHSS has surpassed independent analyst company Ducker Worldwide’s projection by 10%.
