SL Mining reacts to Sierra Leone export block
The Sierra Leone government has failed to lift its ban on iron ore exports which continues to hit the Gerald Group subsidiary SL Mining’s Marampa project in the country.
Media sources in Sierra Leone reveal that SL Mining has sent a letter to its employees stating the company will now enter a period of care and maintenance. This will mean a suspension of mining activities, a report in the Sierra Leone Telegraph suggests.
