Sinosteel joins BCI in Pilbara ore project
China’s Sinosteel has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Australia’s BCI Minerals which could lead to a future joint venture around BCI’s 15 million tonnes/year Buckland iron ore project in the Pilbara.
The project envisions a 20m t/y port at Cape Preston East, which would also ship 5m t/y of other products, including salt from another BCI mine, Kallanish notes. The remaining 15m t/y would be for its planned ‘Buckland B…
