Singapore rebar import market enters state of flux

Rebar suppliers to Singapore are expected to raise offer prices on account of the firming steel market in China, Kallanish notes. Rebar offers at the start of the week were at a recent ebb. At the start of the week, a Malaysian mill’s offer for theoretical-weight rebar was heard at $530-535/tonne delivery by truck (dap), which would be equivalent to $520-525/t cfr Singapore.
