Silence prevails in Turkish imported scrap market
Turkish steelmakers are yet to return to the imported scrap market. They are delaying their August-shipment scrap purchases and waiting to see an improvement in rebar sales.
While no significant improvement has been observed in rebar export markets, the Turkish domestic rebar market has also slowed. Turkish mills are consequently seen to be exerting high pressure on imported scrap prices.
