SIJ Acroni's new AOD furnace to raise capacity
Special steelmaker Slovenian Steel Group (SIJ) has inaugurated the start of operation of the new argon oxygen decarburisation (AOD) converter, installed at its site in Acroni.
With the investment, SIJ Acroni plans to increase its production capacity in stainless and special steels, and strengthen its position in niche steel markets, SIJ says in a statement monitored by Kallanish.
