Sierra Leone’s Tonkolili mine starts Phase 2
The Tonkolili mine in Sierra Leone, owned by China-invested Kingho Investment, has started construction on its second phase.
According to the Northern Engineering & Technology Corporation of China's MCC Group last week, it has signed a contract to build a 12 million tonnes/year ore processing plant in the southwestern part of Sierra Leone's Northern Province, to mine and process iron ore from the transition layer, Kallanish learns.
