Siemens supplies equipment for Salzgitter energy transformation
Salzgitter AG has commissioned Siemens Energy to build a new substation for the supply of power and to facilitate Salzgitter’s conversion to carbon-neutral steel production.
The new production plant and processes under the SALCOS – Salzgitter Low CO2 Steelmaking project require huge volumes of electrical energy that will be made available via a 380kV line, Salzgitter explains.
