Siemens signs Egypt steel-using high-speed rail project
Egypt’s National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) has inked a $4.5 billion contract for a high-speed electrified rail line with Siemens Mobility (SM) and its project partners. The overall network construction is likely to generate significant demand for steel, with rail requirement likely to be imported, Kallanish notes.
