Sichuan's Meiya Steel starts wire rod line construction
China's Meiya Steel has announced that it will begin construction of its high-speed wire rod line and caster project in October this year, and complete construction in April 2020, Kallanish notes.
The capacity of the high-speed wire rod line in Sichuan province is reported to be 800,000 tonnes/year, and the total investment in the projects amounts to CNY 350 million ($49m).
