Sichuan Gangchen Stainless resumes production
Sichuan province’s Gangchen Stainless, newly-established following the reorganisation of the bankrupt Xinan Stainless Steel, has begun production after a delay in February, Kallanish notes.
The steelmaker has 1.6 million tonnes/year of hot-rolled coil capacity and 1.3m t/y of pickled coil capacity. It is adding a 700,000 t/y stainless steel strip annealing and pickling production line and is also implementing a hot rolling technical project.
