Sichuan Desheng ignites new blast furnace
Sichuan Desheng Vanadium Titanium Company has ignited a new 1,250 cubic metre blast furnace on 21 September. The BF is constructed by China 19th Metallurgical Corporation (MCC19).
Work on the project began on 30 November 2021, and the steelmaker saw the BF commission ahead of the schedule. Sichuan Desheng expects to add 1.15 million tonnes/year of iron capacity from this BF, Kallanish notes.
