Siam Yamato upgrades EAF with SMS injector technology
Thai electric arc furnace steelmaker Siam Yamato Steel has awarded SMS the final acceptance certificate for an injector technology upgrade at the No.1 EAF at its Rayong steel plant.
SMS’s ConSo R6 injector technology has a monolithic head, optimised piping and a water-cooled copper box. This gives the EAF optimised flame length, and high safety and efficiency, Kallanish notes from SMS.
