Shougang Jingtang produces ultra-thin steel for 5G equipment
Shanggang Jingtang, Shougang Group’s subsidiary in Caofeidian, Tangshan, has successfully produced 0.11x800mm ultra-thin steel for high-end electronic products. This will be mainly used in equipment such as 5G base stations, Kallanish notes.
The product has a thickness of 0.11mm, while its surface roughness is required to be less than 0.2 microns. The company carried out trial production earlier (see Kallanish passim).
