Shougang Jingtang commissions HDG mill
China's Shougang Group Jingtang Iron & Steel has commissioned a high-strength hot-dipped galvanizing line at its steel plant in Hebei. The mill is able to produce 500,000 tonnes/year of HDG, Kallanish notes.
This new HDG line started construction in mid-2019. Shougang Jingtang invested over CNY 600 million ($86m) in this project, with China's New Metallurgy Hi-Tech Group supplying the technology.
