Shipment growth, coke prices boost JSW earnings
Increased shipments and stronger coke prices helped Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) grow revenue and narrow loss in the second quarter, Kallanish notes.
JSW saw consolidated revenue surge 37% on-year in Q2 to PLN 2.62 billion ($668.8 million), with net loss narrowing 34% to PLN 490.5m.
In the first half of 2021 external coking coal sales rose 28% on-year to 3.7 million tonnes, with 32.6% accounted for by exports, up by 2 percentage points on-year.
