Sheet prices slip in US market
Sheet prices are slipping in the US market. Large mills are trying to hold the line on pricing but prices continue to decline, Kallanish hears from market sources.
The weekly hotrolled coil price assessment was lowered to $1,800-1850/short ton. The price has dropped from a high of $1,970/st in early September. A year ago, HRC was just $700/st. Coldrolled sheet prices are steady around $2,150-2,200/st.
