US sheet price takes modest dip
US sheet prices experienced a small dip this week, Kallanish reports.
HRC prices ranged from $1,450-1,500/short ton, a $10/st decrease from last week’s low of $1,460/st, while $1,500/st remains steady on the high side. All prices are ex-works, domestic mill.
“I think the market has convened on this $1,450/st number. We actually averaged $1,500/st on HRC, but the number of transactions was thin,” one mill source tells Kallanish.
