Shaogang halts bar mills for a week
Baowu Group's Guangdong Shaoguan Iron & Steel (Shaogang) has announced it will carry out maintenance on its steel bar mills for one week. Steel prices are recovering this week after last week's decline. As most steelmakers completed maintenance in August or earlier however, supply in September should remain firm.
Shaogang is conducting maintenance on the No.1 bar mill as from 17 September for 8 days, according to the company's plan. It …
