Shanxi Tongcai commissions EAF
China's Shanxi Tongcai Industry & Trade, under the control of Shanxi Jianbang Group, has commissioned its electric arc furnace steelmaking project.
The company operates one 65-tonne EAF to produce up to 410,000 tonnes/year of alloy steel billet, Kallanish notes. The mill also commissioned 650,000 t/y of medium and wide strip capacity at its hot rolled alloy steel strip production line in June 2022 (see Kallanish passim).
