Youth Games cause Shanxi coking restrictions

Cokemakers in several areas of China’s Shanxi province such as Taiyuan, Lvliang, Jinzhong and Changzhi have been the subject of production restrictions since 8 August. The restrictions have been implemented due to the 2nd Youth Games of China, Kallanish  notes. The restrictions require cokemakers in Taiyuan to extend coking times to 36 hours.
