Shanxi's Lvliang strengthens steelmaking restrictions

The Lvliang government in Shanxi province has released documents upgrading the heavy pollution alert from 20 October. This has triggered tightened restriction measures, Kallanish notes. Integrated steelmakers must stop production at sintering and pelletising machines. After a 120-hour halt, they can restart production up to 50%. Blast furnaces must be limited to 50% of workload.
