Shanxi Jingang starts converter project
Shanxi Jincheng Iron & Steel (Jingang) officially started to construct new converters on 20 November following the start of blast furnace construction earlier in the month, Kallanish notes.
It plans to build two 100-tonne converters which can supply steel to a 1,580-mm continuous hot strip mill and a high-strength anti-seismic rebar mill. The total capacity of hot rolled coil and HRB600E rebar is designed to be 2 million tonnes/year.…
