Shanxi Jincheng Steel restarts blast furnace
Shanxi Jincheng Iron & Steel this week has restarted its No.4 blast furnace following maintenance, Kallanish notes.
The 1,380-cubic-metre blast furnace has a designed iron capacity of 1.25 million tonnes/year. Affected by Covid-19, the steel mill idled the blast furnace for three months from February this year, reducing iron production by more than 300,000 tonnes in total.
