Shanxi Jiexiu details coking capacity reduction in 2020
The Jiexiu Municipal Government in Shanxi province plans to reduce coking capacity from 12.21 million tonnes/year to 8.56m t/y by the end of 2020, Kallanish notes.
Five local coking companies will complete the reductions required by the government in stages this year. At the same time, Changsheng Coal & Gas and Maosheng Coal & Gas will shut down and eliminate coke ovens up to 4.3 metres before the end of 2020.
