Shanxi Jianlong completes one blast furnace
Shanxi Jianlong Iron & Steel completed at end-July the top of one blast furnace. It had previously said it plans to commission it in December this year, Kallanish notes.
The new 1,680-cubic meter blast furnace began construction in August last year, with anticipated iron capacity of 1.45 million tonnes/year. Shanxi Jianlong has two 630-cu m blast furnaces which are being replaced, with an original capacity of 1.46m t/y.
