Shanxi Hongda commissions high-speed bar mill
Shanxi Hongda Steel recently commissioned a high-speed bar production line, reaching an output of 3,000 tonnes/day, Kallanish notes.
Li Qiang, vice president of Hongda Steel, says the high-speed bar mill can roll bars at more than 32 meters/minute and with higher strength than ordinary bars. Construction of this mill started in October 2018 and will result in a total of 1 million t/year of bar capacity.
