Shanxi eliminates 9.74mt coke capacity
The Industry and Information Technology Department of China’s Shanxi Province has confirmed the withdrawal of 12 coke ovens at 11 local coking companies, comprising 9.74 million tonnes/year of coke capacity in total, Kallanish notes.
Of these, Shanxi Xishan Coal Gasfication’s one QRD-2000 coke oven has been discontinued but not dismantled, due to the unfinished procedures for the disposal of state-owned assets.
