Shanxi Coking reports higher profit despite coal squeeze
Shanghai-listed Shanxi Coking Co., Ltd reports surging profit for the first half of 2022, but the contribution from coke, its main business, was down sharply despite higher sales, according to its exchange filing.
In H1, the company purchased 2.33 million tonnes of coal and sold 1.81mt of coke, up 2% and 0.8% respectively from the same period last year, Kallanish notes.
