Shanxi Coking to lose significant winter coke output
China’s biggest coke producer Shanxi Coking says it will cut production over the six months from October to March, resulting in the loss of 900,000 tonnes of coke output, as well as 360,000t of chemicals. Steelmaking restrictions however mean that coke prices were still falling on Thursday, despite a surge in coking coal, Kallanish notes.
