Shanxi develops steel capacity plan up to 2020
Northern China’s Shanxi province will keep developing its steel capacity over 2016-2020, according to a recent local government announcement. The plans include five steelmaking bases in different cities, each over 10 million tonnes/year in capacity, in line with a steel industry development plan launched last year (see table), Kallanish notes.
