Shangang starts building Rizhao CRC mill
Eastern China’s Shandong Iron and Steel (Shangang) has begun construction of the 2,030mm cold rolling mill at its Rizhao steelworks project, according to contractor Shanghai Baoye Group, part of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). Shangang hopes to begin commissioning an 8.5 million tonne/year steelworks at the site in 2017, Kallanish notes.
