Shangang Rizhao commissions 5,100 cubic metre blast furnace
China’s Shandong Iron & Steel (Shangang) Group’s Rizhao site commissioned its No.1 5,100 cubic metre blast furnace on 19 December, Kallanish notes.
The National Development & Reform Commission officially approved the Shangang Rizhao project in March 2013. Shangang Rizhao is a coastal relocation site has a planned capacity of 8.1 million tonnes/year of iron, 8.5m t/y of steel and 8.1m t/y of steel products.
