Shangang Laiwu maintains coking production
Laiwu Iron and Steel (Laigang), part of Shandong Iron & Steel, says that it is continuing to run its coking plant to supply group steelmaking operations, Kallanish notes.
During January 2020, the coking mill produced a total of 275,900 tonnes of coke, 15,900t more than the planned, and 12,900t of tar and other industrial chemical products. The steelmaker says it realised operating profit over CNY 5 million ($717,134) in the month.
