Shangang Laiwu commissions blast furnace
Laiwu Iron & Steel, a subsidiary of Shandong Iron & Steel Group, has ignited its new No.1, 3,800m³ blast furnace, marking the completion of the first phase of its equipment upgrading project in Gangcheng District, Jinan.
The BF has a design capacity of 3.04 million tonnes/year of iron, Kallanish learns. Meanwhile, the company is carrying out the construction of another identical BF, which is expected to be commissioned at the end of 2022.
