Shangang commissions special steel bar mill
The Shandong Iron & Steel Group this week commissioned a bar rolling line at the special steel plant of its Laiwu Steel subsidiary, Kallanish notes from market sources.
The mill began construction in May 2018 and hot testing was carried out in June 2019, with a designed capacity of 800,000 tonnes/year. It can produce special steel bars with diameters of over 80mm, mainly used for industries such as automotive, engineering machinery, railways, power station boi…
