Shandong Xinhai to increase stainless capacity by October
Shandong Xinhai Industry, a subsidiary of Baowu’s Tisco Stainless, unveiled its plan to add two 120-tonne AOD refining furnaces to increase stainless steel capacity through rotary kiln electric furnaces (RKEF), Kallanish notes.
The company expects to commission in October of this year, according to the capacity replacement plan. The new equipment will have 1.2 million tonnes/year of stainless steel capacity and result in zero capacity reduction.
