Shandong Shengyang to upgrade stainless strip project
Shandong Shengyang Group plans to carry out a technical transformation of its 1 million tonnes/year stainless steel strip plant. This is expected to cost CNY 3.73 billion ($577 million), Kallanish notes.
The company expects to see the capacity to increase to 1.8m t/y after transformation, while product categories will remain unchanged. However, Shengyang will reduce the proportion of medium and wide strip and increase the proportion of wide strip.
