Shandong reports ore discovery with high iron content
The Department of Natural Resources of Shandong Province in China has reported a new discovery of iron ore resources with high iron content in the Qihe-Yucheng region, according to local state-owned media reports.
The department said that it had newly discovered 14 million tonnes of iron ore with average 56.63% Fe content, Kallanish notes. The maximum thickness of the ore body is 63.06 meters.
So far, a total of some 80mt of iron ore was discovered in the region.…
