Shandong steelmakers capacity replacement requires extra quotas
An iron and steelmaking capacity replacement scheme in Shandong province will require additional quotas, Kallanish notes.
According to Shandong province’s Department of Industry and Information Technology on 13 May, Yongfeng Zibo Iron & Steel and Shandong Laiwu Iron & Steel has transferred production capacity to Yongfeng Lingang Iron & Steel. The Zibo company and Lingang are both subsidiaries of the Shandong Iron & Steel Group.
