Shandong completes 2019 capacity reduction target
The Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has announced that the province reduced 4.65 million tonnes/year of iron capacity and 3.48m t/y of crude steel capacity in 2019.
All of the capacity quotas that were announced to be reduced this year, however, were for equipment closed down in 2017, Kallanish notes.
