Shandong coke producers face restrictions
Restrictions on coal consumption have left Shandong coking companies facing -30% to -45% production restrictions, Kallanish notes.
Four coke producers with a total of 8.5 million tonnes/year of coke capacity have now received restriction notices. This is estimated to reduce coke prodution by 60,000 tonnes/day and coal consumption by up to 252,000 tonnes/day at this point.
